"Learn to look with an equal eye upon all beings, seeing the one Self in all." -Srimad Bhagavatam, Perenniel Philosophy
The following is a map of the 26 Safety Energy Locks found on/in the body. Safety Energy Locks, or SELs, are naturally occurring tools given to us to harmonize our energy with that of the Universal Life Force. I'm also including a key/chi to assist with accessing and allowing this information to sink in. The correlations listed below the chart are just the tip of the iceberg, one tiny thread in this massive fabric of Being. For example, did you know that each one of our fingers has a direct connection to notes/tones on the musical scale, specific colors, planets, and body/organ functions; regardless of your age, sex, weight, religious beliefs, political preferences, color, or income? Pick numbers that resonate with you (your birth date for example), and play with them. Gently rest your hands on the places that correspond to these numbers on the chart below, and breath. Whether it's for one minute or one hour doesn't matter. Every little bit counts. However it feels best for you, is what is right for you. Thank you! Have fun! Happy exploring! Amy
“Look beyond your fears, observe her from a safe distance to see her dancing in the wind on her web. She is a dream weaver, and magic maker casting a spell for all to behold… Her web is a beautiful display, and it is symbolic of a dream board. Symbolic Spider meaning is appearing to show you the powers and magic of believing… Invite Spider to craft an enticing dream board with you ~ one that is so beautiful it is sure to catch the attention of the nature spirits. Put your dream board near a window and in the window place a dream catcher to remind you of the powers of manifestation Spider spirit animal is teaching.” By Presley Love
I woke up this morning to discover a beautiful gift suspended in the sunlight... INSPIRATION!
Spider is reminding us that the reality we’re experiencing was created by us. Everything we are doing now is weaving that which will be experienced in the future. If it’s no longer serving the greatest good, it’s time to change it. We have the power! She is teaching us through her examples of persistence and determination: weaving a new web everyday. When it has served its purpose, she takes it down and begins weaving again. She is actively, intricately, delicately, and powerfully constructing her reality, day in and day out. She is careful to abide by the cosmic laws of order and balance (male/female, light/dark, strength/flexibility, action/rest, past/future, and physical/spiritual). The spiral pattern of her web is asking us if we are moving in an organized and focused way, toward a central goal. Or, are we being reactive, scattered, and chaotic?
Spider is asking us to look at our personal story. She is inspiring us to integrate all the varied aspects of ourselves into one amazing whole being. She encourages seeing things from many different perspectives, incorporating the creative artistry of who we are with the logical paths we must take. She doesn’t worry about her life. She is living, creating, feasting, and resting; teaching us valuable bits about the benefits of completion, and following sequence. She finishes the circle. She is the number 8; infinity, cycles, passage of time, the quality of infinite possibilities. She is the embodiment of the Divine Feminine. She is Grandmother Spider, the weaver, the keeper of the Fire, the guardian of ancient languages and alphabets. We are grateful for the lessons from this Master, and welcome her magic into our lives with love!
Sometimes, forgiveness is a pretty tough nut to swallow. Ultimately, however, by holding onto all of that "JUNK", we're only hurting ourselves. The options in this life are limitless. Why focus on the one option making us feel bad? When we shift our focus, we are changing our experience. I'm not normally the type to quote verses from the Bible. Today, however, I'm feeling inspired. I believe the source is pertinent to the delivery of the message. Thus, I'm sharing these little gems with the hope that all of us who are needing to experience this shift in our thinking, emoting, being, understanding, and vibrating, will. Keep following your heart song, even if nobody else can dance to it!
Blessings of Love and Gratitude! Amy
Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."
Matthew 6:25-32 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these."
Colossians 3:12-14 "Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony."
Do you ever wake up in the morning and wonder where you've been all night? I do, more often than not. My dreams can be so incredibly vivid and juicy, that sometimes I feel lost, displaced, and a little angry when I wake up; like I don't belong "here". A big project of mine is being more grounded in this physical body, this gift of life, while allowing my spirit to soar with intuition as my guide.
I'm practicing how to be the best human being I can possibly be, the most luminous expression of Divine I can muster. We're each given this lump of clay called our life. It is what it is. But we are Artists, co-creating with that which is LOVE, joining our focus with the lump of clay, exciting the capacity to cultivate a masterpiece!
It's all there; orgasmic, beckoning, and waiting for us to allow it into Being. For me, Jin Shin Jyutsu has been the most consistent, effective, and efficient tool I've found for doing this, for making that connection happen.
I spend about 20 minutes a day before I get up in the morning, when my breathing is nice and relaxed and deep, simply practicing "Being". I'm contemplating my dreams (where I was, what I was doing, with whom and how; any vivid details that stand out in my mind's eye), and saying my thank you's for all the blessings I'm receiving. I am also placing my hands on my body in specific patterns proven to harmonize the energy. The following are some my personal projects laid to rest, thanks to this gentle, ancient Japanese healing Art:
No more constant, daily nausea. No more insomnia. No more violent mood swings., and explosive rage. No more anxiety. No more feeling stuck, hopeless, out of control, or powerless. No more headaches. No more worrying. No more unregulated fear-based emotions. No more lacking.
Now is all there IS. And Now there is LOVE! Now there is BEING, JOY, BLISS, GRATITUDE! NOW THERE IS LIFE!
I don't know if words can express the full nature of my thanks. I have my life back! I am in love with this experience of living again, and it is magical!!!
Thank you for sharing this journey with me. In the name of Love, Light, and Universal Harmony for all beings everywhere!
I started oil pulling at the end of March, 2014. My 16-fluid ounce jar of coconut oil lasted through about three months of daily 15-20 minute swooshing practices, and joining forces with Coconut.
Here's my story:
In those three months, I only missed one morning. About three weeks into the experiment, we went camping and I forgot to pack the jar of coconut oil. Following that lapse, I realized that "something" was happening as a result of the oil pulling. The more I sat with the feeling, the more I felt inspired to write this blog post.
It began as an experiment. I'm a scientist at heart, and the notion of swishing coconut oil around in my mouth to whiten my teeth, first and foremost, was intriguing. I started to do more research, and found that a lot of "pullers" experience digestive benefits, too. I love that! Next, came the information on plant spirit shamanism, and the literal joining of forces/focus to create/inspire the manifestation of the greatest good. Coconut Power to the rescue! YAY!!!

Recently, we were talking with a client about the various self-help posts on our blog. We were sitting in our office, following a session, and she motioned to the animal Safety Energy Lock charts on the wall. "Do you have these posted on your blog?" she asked. We do now! (Thanks again for the suggestion! -you know who you are)
As you can see, Jin Shin Jyutsu is not just for people. It's been proven effective time and again for our animal companions, as well. I suggest feeding and walking/playing first, so they can be relaxed and focused during your time together. Maybe start a tradition; making it a part of the daily routine will allow them to anticipate this treat like they anticipate walk time, or meal time. If you have multiple pets in the house, you might notice that they all want a piece of the action. As long as it doesn't interfere with the connection between you and the "primary recipient", the more the merrier!
Before practicing Jin Shin Jyutsu with your pet, however, I highly recommend practicing on yourself first. Go to one of our previous blog posts from 03-13, 03-28, or 04-08 to learn how to recharge yourself prior to offering this love to your furry friend.
Recently, I found myself having to bear fair witness against myself. I believe there might be as many different paths to Truth as there are beings in existence. Yet, I watch myself working to convince people that "my" way is the "best" way. Interesting and ironic, as I don't care for that characteristic in others. When I step back and observe myself, and the quality of my interactions, I'm painfully aware of how lost I can get in my own agendas, my own passions.
So, how do I share this love without shoving it down people's throats? The solution appears to go against everything we've been taught: less is more. Lately, this concept has been popping up in my life repeatedly; advising me to sit back, open up to the experience, and when it's right, it will all come together. This will happen whether I fuss about it or not. Change is the only constant in this life. When we least expect it, the path reveals itself. The less effort we exert, the more awareness we have. This is what Eckhart Tolle is referring to as "The Power of Now". Fostering a clear and strong connection to each Now moment reduces the mental chatter, and the influence of the ego. The easiest way to tune in to this juicy Now energy is through our Breath (it's a gift, a present to keep us in the present).
Take it to the next level with Viparita Karani, or "Legs-Up-the-Wall" pose. Also referred to as the "Fountain of Youth", this pose teaches us that positive results can come from doing less, not more. Our bodies are tools, and are continuously adapting to how we use or abuse them over time. When we practice legs-up-the-wall daily for at least 5 minutes, we're sharpening those tools; learning to be receptive, to let go, and to be fully present in the Now. The physical body is reflecting the past. The subtle, or energy body, is speaking to the Now. What we are seeing in the mirror is not current. The changes that will manifest in the physical form are already happening at the level of our thoughts, our energy patterns, our non-tangible and invisible self. When we tune in to our Breath while in this position, we are resetting the body's clock, realigning with our perfect blueprint, and returning to a state of balance, neutrality.
The goal is lifting the hips and adrenals higher than the heart, while keeping the heart higher than the head; creating a sort of energy waterfall. The benefits are abounding: boosts the libido, energy levels, digestion, adrenal functions, circulatory system, and mood. Helps with insomnia, tight hips and hamstrings, varicose veins, wrinkles, leg cramps, anxiety, jet lag, and calming the nervous system. Aides in stopping colds before they set in. Heightens self-awareness, bringing in more peace and serenity. Great for relieving lower back pain and headache discomfort. Many believe this is the most therapeutic of all yoga poses. There is no warm-up for Viparita Karani. Simply relax, while slowing your breathing down. Closing the eyes may help, too. This is supposed to feel good! If it doesn't, using pillows, blankets, or other props can help with being more fully relaxed, and reaping the rewards of this extra special treat for the body/mind/spirit.
Challenge: Find someplace with uninterrupted quiet and a bit of wall space to practice Viparita Karani. Ideally, aim for at least once a day for 5-20 minutes at a time. Continuing with the schedule for a minimum of three weeks, make sure to note any changes in personal constitution during this period. Write them down, if you are so inclined. And, just like taking antibiotics, make sure the practice doesn't stop when you start feeling better. Practice is cumulative, so keep it up! The more you do it, the better you'll feel!
*Please consult your physician or care provider prior to practicing if you have any eye disorders and/or serious neck/back injuries.*
"Water really is the genesis ingredient for all life at all levels - water is so fundamental to everything involved in creating, reproducing, and sustaining life that it is possible to imagine that God created water, and let water do the work to create life." Charles Fishman, The Big Thirst, p. 44
With the influences of the Grand Cardinal Cross in full effect, Tait and I decided it was a great time to ground ourselves in the juiciness of Mother Earth, and prepare for the inevitable changes coming our way. The deep healing processes associated with water in its various states are numerous. Top these touchy-feely experiences off with a good old scientific film about this amazing element, and you have yourself a well-rounded foundation for contemplation and expansion.
