![]() What is it about sex that grabs our attention? It's no secret that sex sells. I recently had a meeting with my marketing guru and confidant extraordinaire... She said I needed to boost my creativity level with regards to this blog. Thanks for the advice, Sassy Mamma! This one's for you! What can be more creative than sex? The challenge is to join the over-arching themes of alternative healing and wholeness that are Exquisite Healing, with the deliciously juicy, and wonderfully exploratory subject of sex... Let's see how I do! Tait and I are travelers. We are thriving when we're experiencing new things on a regular basis, continually feeling inspiration from new sources. It's because of this passion, that we're currently finding ourselves living in Eugene, Oregon. A fringe benefit of being here is soaking in the natural hot springs. In Oregon, there appears to be a soothing, comfortable connection with being naked in "public" with "strangers", while soaking in healing waters percolating up from the belly of Pacha Mamma.
Although sex may not be an obvious player in this discussion, it is a subtle and yet powerful undercurrent. Soaking naked in the the middle of an old growth forest, in the mountains, over-looking a raging river has the potential of being an incredibly seductive and tantalizing experience; taking the senses to the peak of euphoric ecstasy, as we are becoming one with the water, the trees, the sky, the Divine Bliss that is this Life! It's a taste of the classic domino effect: Think better. Be better. Feel better. Think better. Be better. Feel better. Shift the focus away from the fear, and hold it there long enough to create a spark. We give in to that luscious momentum, that feeling of high vibration synchronicity. With anticipation and giggling delight, we hold on for the ride, as we slip out of our knickers, and into our birthday suits! Allowing the hot, healing waters to caress our naked skin; thrill bumps dancing to the surface and arousing our sense of touch, touching, and being touched. The scene plays out like a beautiful waltz between our energy and the energy of the water, the rocks containing the water, and the sun/moon/stars shining on us all, energizing us with cosmic LOVE! We close our eyes and drink in the smells of the forest holding us to her breast, the gushing of the river below, the force of the air carrying bits of mist all the way up to our noses. The head is submerged, ears filling with water. The sound of the water is melting me, bringing me back to my receptive self. The gurgles and wooshings and swooshings, sounds of movement, are all together too loud for me to hear the sound of my own breathing. In that instant, I disappear, and become part of the spring-fed pool. I am flowing into the rock tub, down and over the boulders, to the next tub on the next step down; on and on, and over and over... until finally reaching the crisp and excited waters of the river below; carrying me home, back to the ocean. This is my church; one of the places I come to for re-charging, and strengthening my connection to that which has no name. It is in these few precious blips of time that I am gone, and there is only Us; Cradled in the arms of the Great Mother, all worry washes away. Stresses become faint memories, as the heat from the water, and the pulsation of energy are guiding us back to the NOW; grounding us in this physical experience of being human, being present. With LOVE and GRATITUDE!!! Amy
